- Build and maintain apps for the Sky Glass platform
- Prepare Sky’s new smart camera proposition for release
- Help maintain our internally open-sourced UI framework
- Support apps teams that are using our libraries
- Work on apps using LigntningJS
- Help maintain our Concourse CI/CD pipelines
- Work alongside other dedicated engineers, testers, designers and product owners to solve interesting problems
- Produce clean, well-tested code that is easy to understand and maintain
- A strong understanding of software design and development principles, coupled with providing constructive and objective feedback
- An expert-level understanding of JavaScript and Node - additional strong knowledge of a statically typed language such as TypeScript would be a plus
- A deep understanding of how to build and maintain highly usable and reliable libraries
- Ability to learn and work with new technologies - existing knowledge of streaming or developing for embedded systems would be a plus
- The ability to communicate effectively and explain complex problems in a simple way
- A preference for collaborating with others, both inside and outside the team
- Good knowledge and understanding of agile principles
- Strong understanding of source controls (we use GitHub), branching and commit strategies
- Good understanding of unit (e.g. jest) and E2E testing frameworks (e.g. cypress)

Our Osterley Campus is a 10-minute walk from Syon Lane train station. Or you can hop on one of our free shuttle buses that run to and from Osterley, Gunnersbury, Ealing Broadway and South Ealing tube stations. There are also plenty of bike shelters and showers.
